Workshop Schedule

Give yourself time and space to work on your vision--or revision--in a supportive atmosphere with six other writers.
  • At least two weeks before the workshop, email your manuscript as a Word attachment or Google Docs link to me at tuscarora.writers@gmail.com and to the other writers. (I will provide the email list and include a critiquing guideline).
  • Please come to the workshop having read and made notes on one another's work

The day of the workshop at 9:00 sharp, we gather at the Adobe House for two days that include the following:
  • Breakfast at 9:00 and an hour of workshopping. Each writer will have an hour of focused attention on his/her work.
  • A great luncheon writing activity to strengthen your descriptive writing skills (and a great sack lunch).
  • After an afternoon of critiquing, we gather at the historic Taylor Canyon Club seven miles down the road, for camaraderie, laughter, and dinner.
  • At the Adobe House after dinner--dessert and readings. Bring something of yours to share with the group.
  • Sunday morning breakfast followed by workshopping until noon- rewriting and revisiting your work.
  • Another great luncheon writing activity (and another great sack lunch).
  • After lunch, reflections on the day before; tips on revision; the habit of writing; whatever else you want to talk about--self-publishing, starting a literary blog, etc.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT YOUR SKILL LEVEL! THIS IS AN EASY PLACE TO GET STARTED OR TO KEEP GOING!
